Presentation
The course puts students in contact with different theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science, Statistics and Applied Mathematics, providing them with sufficient knowledge enabling them to continue their studies at the doctoral level at any university worldwide. The alumni are also able to teach subjects at the undergraduate level, as well as perform professional activities that require logical reasoning and modeling real problems using technical or scientific aspects.
We also intend to strengthen the connection with regional, national and international companies that are open to invest in research and development, showing a strong scientific inclination and offering relevant research problems, which may result in research projects and partnerships.
Besides recruiting students who hold an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Industrial Mathematics, the present program also seeks to fully serve students coming from related fields (such as engineering, physics, computer science, science and technology, among others) that show a clear interest in an interdisciplinary formation, focused on the interaction of basic and applied sciences areas
