Charles Casimiro Cavalcante
He obtained the degree of Electrical Engineer and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in 1999 and 2001, respectively, and in 2004 he earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He worked as a CNPq/DCR Level 2A researcher at the Department of Teleinformatics Engineering (DETI) at UFC from May 2004 to April 2007. From May 2007 to November 2008, he was a Visiting Professor at Level Adjunto III at DETI-UFC. Since December 2008, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teleinformatics Engineering at UFC. He is a member and researcher of the Wireless Telecommunications Research Group (GTEL) at DETI-UFC, where he leads and develops research related to the application of signal processing in communications and optimization of the physical layer of wireless communication systems. His areas of interest include: signal processing, equalization, source separation, mobile communications, information geometry, space-time coding, and statistical signal processing.
