Sílvia Maria de Freitas
She holds a degree in Statistics from the Federal University of Ceará (1988), a Master’s degree in Statistics from the State University of Campinas (1993), and a sandwich Ph.D. (University of Exeter, England) in Agronomy (Statistics and Agronomic Experimentation) from ESALQ/University of São Paulo (2001). She is currently an Associate Professor III in the Department of Statistics and Applied Mathematics at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), and a permanent member of the graduate program in Modeling and Quantitative Methods at UFC. She has experience in Applied Statistics, Generalized Linear Models, and Multivariate Analysis, focusing mainly on the following topics: generalized linear models, overdispersion, mixed models, multivariate analysis, and data analysis.
