Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the State University of Ceará (1997) and a Master’s degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1999). He earned his PhD in Informatics from the Université de Paris-Nord (2002) and completed a post-doctorate at the Université Paris-Sud (2012). He worked as a researcher (1999-2002) in the research and development laboratory of France Télécom. Worked as a professor at the Université de Paris-Sud from 2002 to 2003 at the Laboratoire de Recherche en Informatique and at the Université de Paris-Nord from 2003 to 2004 at the Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris-Nord. In June 2004, joined the Federal University of Ceará as permanent professor in the Department of Statistics and Applied Mathematics, where he has been a full professor since 2021. He is a researcher in the postgraduate program in Computer Science at UFC and at the Master’s program in Modeling and Quantitative Methods. He is part of the ParGO research group and has experience in algorithms, combinatorial optimization, and integer stochastic programming. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for journals such as J. Comb. Optim., Discrete Applied Mathematics, Annals of Operations Research, RAIRO-Operations Research, and Discrete Optimization.
