Anselmo Ramalho Pitombeira Neto
Holds a degree in Mechanical Production Engineering (Federal University of Ceará, 2005), a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of São Paulo, 2008), and a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering (Federal University of Ceará, 2015). He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Production Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará, where he teaches Operational Research, Systems Simulation, and Engineering Economics. His research interests include the application of computational modeling and simulation, mathematical optimization, statistical methods, and machine learning to problems in production and transportation systems. He is a permanent professor in the Master’s Program in Modeling and Quantitative Methods (MMQ/UFC) and the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering – Structures and Civil Construction at the Federal University of Ceará. He leads the OPL – Operational Research in Production and Logistics research group. He has published in journals such as Computers and Industrial Engineering, Journal of Advanced Transportation, Transportes, Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, International Journal of Simulation Modelling, and Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, as well as in conference proceedings like ENEGEP, SIMPEP, SBPO, ANPET, ICPR, WinterSim, CONEPETRO, and ENTAC.
